About the Authors
Mark Aarons is a former ABC investigative reporter. His 1986 Radio National series Nazis in Australia was instrumental in the establishment of the Special Investigations Unit (SIU). He is also the author of War Criminals Welcome: Australia, a Sanctuary for War Criminals Since 1945 (2001).
Graham Blewitt AM is a former public prosecutor and National Crime Authority officer. He served as the Deputy Director of the Special Investigations Unit (1988-1991) and its Director (April 1991-June 1992). He subsequently headed the War Crimes Prosecution Support Unit (1992-1994) and later served as the Deputy Prosecutor for the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia in The Hague.
